Dusk

In this picture, While I was playing Pokemon go, I happen to be walk past this and I just had to take picture of this beautiful Sunset. Sometimes you don't have to look at the time when you can already tell if it's going to be night time by looking at the sunset. Why does the sky have primary colours? Why can't the sky have colours like green or purple? Actually the sky might have those colours, like the aurora northern lights. I have never seen the aurora sky before but I would love to travel someday just to see it.

Metaphor

For this class exercise we were given a list of metaphors and had to draw out 2 of it. I drew out 3 instead because I have a great idea for drawing the metaphor "He is a couch potato". I also drew out metaphors like "I'm no angel" and "I'm drowning in work". By doing this exercise, I had to try drawing it differently other than just drawing it by it's literal meaning. I think that this exercise is really good for designing posters since they are not too literal and it still gives a strong message. 

Cramped

This is the picture I took today. I noticed that there are numberless amount of fishes in the pond and it is really cramped for the fishes. I observed the fishes and saw them swimming around and kept bumping into each other. I hope the fishes doesn't mind the cramped area, however I think that the fishes deserve a spacious habitat. 

Achromatic

In this picture I see a white bird. Don't you find white birds pretty? What is this white bird doing? Is it not afraid of humans? I actually walk really close to it just to take a picture, but it doesn't seem to even flinch when I get closer. In it's spiritual meaning for white birds, It is believed to bring peace and wisdom to you. I believe they said it brings peace probably because of it's colour. White normally represent peace as it is a peaceful colour. I guess that's why the bird isn't afraid and it just wants peace?

Dynamic

This is my model for my 3d assignment, my inspiration comes from a swan. I like the types of curves I used so far, I did many other mock ups but I find this is the best. Taking the perfect photo for my model is hard. I have to literally off all the lights in the classroom and use someone's handphone torch light to give it some lighting. But I'm satisfied with the results of my photo.

Blackish

This is a picture I took at botanic gardens. I see a few Black swans and i was wondering why isn't there any white swans? It seems that Botanic gardens only have black swans but I think I prefer black swans than a white swan, probably because I find them mysterious and quite rare. Around other parks, you can sometimes spot a white swan but never a black swan. 

Complex

This is my photo of the day, this is the Helix Bridge at Marina bay. I took this photo because of the beautiful structure of this bridge. Just by looking at the structure I wonder how is there shelter if it rains? The design is beautiful but I wonder about the convenience for the people crossing the bridge when it's raining. 

Inflorescence

This are the few pictures I took at Chinese Garden. My friends wanted to hangout somewhere so we decided to go to Chinese Garden. It was my first time being here at so I am quite thrilled to be here. I see a lot of beautiful plants all around especially the lily pads. Other than that the bridge captured my attention too.

Bees

For this class activity we had to think as many reasons as we can of why does a bee goes to a painting of flowers instead of a real flower. This exercise is probably to show your wildest imagination to think of many crazy reasons. There is one of the reason that I came up with that I like the most, it is the reason where the bee sees a female bee in the painting and went into the painting instead, this is probably the cutest reason ever! I wonder if all these weird reasons might be true about a the bee? 

Geometric

This picture is taken a year ago when I was in ITE. It was actually an assignment for my photography module. My assignment was to take photos of buildings with geometric design. In this picture I see a lot of shapes on the building, such as the windows, the pilers and the ceiling too. The picture made me realise that most of the latest architecture buildings have designs based on geometric shapes.

Thiller

I just watched Train to Busan with my mother. This movie is really good and full of suspense. I wouldn't say it's scary but it is much more bitter than scary to me. The plot is basically about the train being overrun by zombies and most of the area in Korea is infected with this mysterious virus that make them go rabid and the only save area is in Busan. So the main characters in the movie have to work together to save everyone on board the train and get to Busan.

Birthday!

For my blog post today shall be special, since it's my birthday! I received this present from my friends. I love it so much because they gave me my favourite Superhero, Batman! Why I love Batman so much? It's a childhood thing I guess, I've always been a fan of Batman since young. Back then I love watching all those cartoons of him and I never missed a single episode of it. 

Scenery

This is the Singapore Flyer at Marina Bay. It is Asia's largest giant observation wheel. The Singapore flyer gives you a breathtaking panoramic view of Marina bay. This flyer also have a range of shops, restaurants and facilities. You can actually dine in the flyer's capsule. This is kind of cool, imagine dining while admiring the magnificent view of Marina bay. I have never been on the Singapore Flyer before but I would like to try some day.

Turtles

My picture for today shall be this cute little turtle. It makes me wonder how turtles have lived the earth for a long time. If I'm not wrong they have lived for around 215 million years, even during the dinosaurs age but in the dinosaurs era they were a lot bigger and massive. I probably think they can take down a T-rex. Turtles are such delicate creatures they swim slowly but elegantly as well.

Patterns

This is my picture for today. I think this is some African Tribal Mask. It looks rather intriguing that I just had to take a picture. The mask is filled with many different types of pattern all over it. The pattern is can be a good inspiration for 2d design. The pattern actually have different feelings, like the two in the front the design looks peaceful while the two in the back looks rather angry. I guess the design of the mask can describe the feelings too.

MindMap

This is our mind map for today's lesson for creative thinking. We were given a picture and we have to think of 10 words and 2 questions related to the picture given. The picture that my group have is probably pigs getting slaughtered. Its hard to tell what the picture is at first because it was quite pixelated but we could tell it straight away because of the pigs that were in cages and treated cruelly. After brainstorming words and questions related to the picture, I wonder if thats how pigs are treated like this before becoming food? It somehow change my mind of eating meat. But still meat is just too GOOD!

Highlights

This one of my assignments for Drawing Fundamentals, I have to draw on a black paper using white pastel. I drew a black dog for this assignment. It is really fun to draw because I need to do reverse shading. So instead of shading the darker spot, I have to shade the lighter part with this white pastel, like the highlights on this dog. It is actually difficult to do at first but I am starting to get used to it. Maybe in my free time I will start drawing white pastel over black paper again.

Squad

I should make a post about this the most hyped movie of 2016, Suicide Squad. This movie recently came out on 4 August. This movie's plot is basically a US intelligence officer decides to assemble a team of dangerous supervillians for a top secret mission. The characters are Killer croc, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Diablo, Enchantress, Captain Boomerang, Katana, Slipknot, Joker and Rick flagg. My favourite character in the movie is the Joker or Katana too because she's kinda cool. I love the joker in here because he's style is much more edgy. I wonder if I won't have any disappointments for the movie.

Hunt

My picture for today shall be about Pokemon go! So in this picture i'm walking in a park to hunt for Pokemons. Pokemon go has been released on 6 August and it has already been a huge craze for everyone at any age. So this game is not just for Pokemon nerds(including me). Pokemon go is a really fun app, it made me walk or even run more than I normally do, especially when you need to run for rare Pokemons before they disappear.

Recycled

I was walking around Capitol mall and this lamp caught my eye. It is so beautiful that I just have to blog about it. There were many other lamp displaying and they are all were designed just as creative as this. The designs are all exotic and you can't really find it at a regular lamp store. And what's good about this lamp is that it is eco-friendly as it is all made using recycled materials.

Library

This is the Ang Mo Kio library. This place is filled with memories as this is the library I always go to since young. My dad will always bring me to this library every weekend but now I'm already grown up so I stopped going to the library for so many years. I stopped by this library because I happen to be hunting Pokemons around this area, so I decided to go in and take a look and blog about it too.

Moon

The mysterious Moon, shining so brightly tonight. The full moon shines to brightly it sometimes makes me feel serene. The moon is a lot easier to look at other than the Sun you must squint and can hardly see it very well. The sun is too warm for my comfort while the Moon is cooler at night. So I'm actually more of a night person.

National Day!

It is 9th of August! My picture for today shall be about National Day. Singapore is now 51 today, we celebrate national day for Singapore's independence. In this photo I am watching the National day parade from home. It's a shame i couldn't have the time to go to the Indoor stadium to watch the parade there but every year's parade never fails to impress me. The parades gets more interesting each year.

City View

This is the magnificent view of Marina Bay Sands, The building structure is so complicated and creative I wonder how the architects come up with a brilliant design. Like who would have thought of designing a boat on top three buildings! Now I see why this is a famous place for tourist as it is so unique. It is great to walk around at Marina bay because you can admire the scenery and all the beautiful buildings here.

Church

My Sundays is always a must to go to church for mass. This is a picture is taken at the Church of the Holy Spirt. Ever since young I have always attend this church for mass with my family. Reasons why I always attend this church is because my family love the art on the stained glass windows. Other than just the art, I like how each art work tells a story on it. Each art work on the stained glass windows tells a meaningful story.

Museum

This building is the national museum of Singapore. This is Singapore's oldest museum and it showcase the country's history and culture. I have been in this museum many times especially when I have field trips in Primary school. This building have never changed and i hope it stays that way. This building itself has an interesting structure that is fused with the old and the new. I love how the building have beautiful stained glass windows that made this place elegant and classical. 

Glow

I find this sculpture really beautiful so I just had to take a photo, this is from the Singapore museum. The glow on the flower makes it look like its blooming in the dark. This sculpture makes me wonder how brilliant anyone could have thought of overshadowing a luminous glow from the flower into darkness. Its like the famous phrase 'when there's darkness there's always light'. I assume that's what this sculpture's meaning is.

Bingsu

My picture for today is BINGSU! Bingsu have been a huge hype in Singapore since last 3 months. It is a popular dessert in Korea and now there are many bingsu cafes in Singapore. They have many different flavours, my personal favourite is either Mango, Oreo cookies or soybean. Me and my friends will always find a time to meet up and enjoy a bingsu together, I guess we will never get sick of eating it. Bingsu is meant to be shared as the price is quite reasonable once you split the money to share.

Landscape

This is my picture of the day, this is the fountain of wealth at Suntec city. I took this photo because it has a unique structure, it is actually much more beautiful at night because they will light up the colourful lights from the fountain. But it is also quite the view in the day time. This fountain have a specific water session timing, where they will start the water fountain. You can actually throw in a coin in this fountain to have good luck I think that's why it is called Fountain of wealth.

Teamwork

For today we did a group assignment, my group mates are Selicia, Anastatia, Tiffany and Rashdan. For the class today, I learn about See Think Wonder and our class exercise is to Brainstorm a mind map. With the given object we have to use our imagination on how others who are less inhibited might use the given object. The topic we chose is chopsticks, we chose this because chopsticks have many uses and we all came up with ideas really fast. We all made up really crazy ideas for chopsticks such as chopstick fan, vibrating chopsticks, chopstick eyebrows. Will these inventions we came up with be invented someday?

Most of the artworks are abstract that makes it really interesting as it makes it look 3 dimensional.
